Our Philosophy
Here at Sparrows Early Learning Centre tamariki (children) are at the heart of all we do.
We provide a welcoming, true mixed-age learning environment. Tuakana-teina is one of our main values and we draw on this through all areas of our environment. Providing equitable experiences for all our learners empowering tamariki to be creative risk takers. Through open ended learning experiences, drawing on the environment as the third teacher our small family setting allows for that home away from home and ‘one big whanau’ feel.
Whanaungatanga is another strong value of ours creating reciprocal relationships and working in partnership with whanau to nurture and grow their Tamariki.
Our Kaiako (teachers) are professional and dedicated individuals who are open to learning and committed to delivering our early childhood curriculum Te whariki to the tamariki in our care. As kaiako we are supporting and fostering the leaders of tomorrow through empowering them to creative risk takers strong in their social competence and individuality.
